Michelle’s counseling philosophy is solution focused and goal oriented. She works with individuals and couples utilizing person-centered, clinically valid approaches that fit the specific needs of each client. Michelle has found success with modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and psychodynamic therapies. Meeting and accepting each person where they are and working collaboratively toward understanding the roots of current distress is an essential first step to the counseling process.

For those that are looking to incorporate Biblical principles into their therapy sessions, Michelle is devoted and equipped to actively apply the Christian faith to the counseling process.

In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years and their four children, chatting with friends, spending time in her garden, and reading historical fiction.
