Anita M. Pirone

From the time she was 14, Anita felt a calling to help others.

“I did not choose this profession…it chose me!”

With over 30 years of experience, Anita uses various approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, and EMDR to help clients become the best version of themselves.

The most important part of therapy to Anita is building a strong therapeutic relationship built on honesty and trust. That takes time and patience but she believes appropriate self-disclosure helps her clients understand that, as she says, “I’ve been there, have overcome obstacles, and they can too!”

Anita specializes in treating adults with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, and dual diagnosis.

She believes in working hard and playing hard. In her spare time, Anita belongs to two ladies golf leagues and a couples golf league. She is a cantor/singer in the contemporary ensemble at her church and enjoys playing cards and games with friends and family. She also loves cooking or baking healthy food “that actually tastes good!” She enjoys traveling with her husband and playing bocce with him in an indoor winter league and outdoor summer league.
